My bio is on the Go Green Initiative website (www.gogreeninitiative.org), but that only covers the formal stuff. The less formal stuff is where my heart is. I love being a mother of three, a wife, a sister, a daughter, and a friend. I am a former Naval Officer, and I'm really into Yoga...but I eat chocolate chip cookie dough like crazy, so it all evens out. My life's passion is to leave my children a healthy, clean, safe planet, which is why I wrote the Go Green Initiative to begin with.

I love this article! My organization has been working with a foundation in Uganda for about a year to address this very topic. The President of the foundation spoke at our International Earth Summit in San Jose, CA last November, and the photos that he showed of the deforestation of his country were heartbreaking.
