Being a Los Angeles resident, the only 101 drive I frequent is U.S. Route 101. Luckily, Do Something provides an action kit for anyone who’d like to run their own school supply initiative. It’s easy. Just ask Nikki.
During the first two Do Something 101 school supply drives, the campaign raised more than $750,000 with the help of celebrity supporters Ciara and Jordin Sparks. This year over $125,000 will be donated by Staples.
Staples customers can support students in need by donating $1 to the program at any Staples location, or by texting NOTEBOOK to 20222 to make a $5 donation. Each store is partnered with a local educational non-profit, which will receive 100 percent of the proceeds. In addition to taking collections and donations, Staples recently launched a line of DoSomething.org-esque items that students can use to learn about how they can help their communities.

I went to Staples last night to get 4 kids' school supplies and saved a bundle with their 1 Cent sale. I saw this in their email campaign and wanted to write about it as well. Thanks for covering it.
