As James Bond, Pierce Brosnan has a license to kill. As a marine conservationist and activist, the film star is urging President Barack Obama to take away the license to kill whales that’s been granted to Japan, Norway, and Iceland. In a PSA Brosnan starred in earlier this month, he called out President Barack Obama for failing to execute a ban on commercial whaling, which the Commander in Chief promised when he was running for president.
Ocean life is vital to the well-being of our planet. As we reported on Earth Day, a number of fish populations have been depleted by 70-95%. We caught up with Brosnan and his wife Keely Shaye Smith at the 14th Annual Global Green Millenium Awards on June 12, and they gave their advice on what we can all do to help save the whales and our oceans.
