“Crowdrise is pretty much the most fun you can have making a difference without taking any illegal substances,” Norton said about the online initiative he announced Tuesday at the Mashable Media Summit.
Norton provides his Crowdrise pitch on YouTube:
I can never watch Ed Norton without, of course, thinking of Fight Club, and my personal favorite, Primal Fear. My children on the other hand saw him in the above YouTube video and shouted, “That’s the Hulk!”. I wonder what the Hulk’s favorite charity is?
Crowdrise is a good way for you as an individual to show the world how you are making a difference. You can then share what you are doing with your friends and community and those who might not otherwise know of your causes or your participation in the non-profit community. I am going to keep following along with Crowdrise and see how they progress.
It seems the trend is growing in Hollywood for celebrities to be more personally involved in causes and in promoting them to those who matter. We love the trend and will help them get the word out about what they are doing!
