I love to use Flickr to store my photographs and to share them with my friends and family. My mother loves it because she gets a chance to see her grandchildren online. I love it because I don’t have cardboard boxes full of developed 4X6 glossy photos taking up space in the basement. Flickr was a godsend to all parents who are trigger happy with the camera. How are you storing your photos? If you don’t have a Flickr account it might be a good investment. The basic account is a freebie, but I suggest a Pro account to allow you the flexibility of being able to upload a number a pictures at one time. Sharing photos online is a must for any organization that has events where photos can show your organization working and doing good.
Facebook is t
he new way to share everything, from your photos and blog stories, to videos and podcasts. Flickr has made it simple to share photographs that are uploaded to your Flickr account with your Facebook account. It is a good way to get those photos noticed.
To get your Flickr account to speak to your Facebook account, just go to the Share & Extending Tab and follow the procedures there by clicking on the “Connect” button. It really is that simple. If you are out doing good, take a picture and then share it on Flickr, Facebook and your other social networks. After all, it is our mantra here at WhatGives!? Do something good. Tell people about it. Do it again.
