If you are going to be in or around the Chicago area this weekend, I would love for you to come out to WordCamp Chicago being held at the Chicago Mart Plaza, Saturday and Sunday, June 5-6, 2010. I will be speaking in the afternoon on Sunday in Chicago.
I will be presenting on Sunday about how the next generation of WordPress users will be using the blogging platform for digital media. The movement of publishers into the digital media arena includes those who are doing more and more video like our own Melissa Jun Rowley with Good & Ready, and also how we are doing more podcasting and live video events like we have been doing here at WhatGives?!
WordPress is an open source blogging platform and I have been a strong evangelist of the application and platform. I have had opportunities to speak all over the country at WordCamps in Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Reno and Denver to name a few. WordPress also has WordCamps throughout the world that are very strongly attended and are supported by a powerful community.
If you want to follow along with this event and see what people are saying or perhaps what I will be tweeting about, please follow along on Twitter with the hashtag #wcChicago.
