a Concern Worldwide widget (quick, look to the right side of this page!) and donated a few bucks to a great cause. However you choose to participate, don’t miss out on this global celebration of the power of community. Find a party near you and go!!
San Francisco is always a Twestival party powerhouse, and 2010 won’t be any different. Organizer Krystal Baldwin says a $15 ticket gets you a schwag bag filled with goodies, and some great live music from Stroke 9, and Sioux Kid and the Revolutionary Ramblers. If you’re into web celebs, stop by and say hello to Pop 17’s Sarah Austin. If you’re a social media lover, wave at Brian Solis!
If you’re a party goer who believes time restraints are for wimps, then Sydney has the bash for you. Tim Dickinson reports that their gathering at the Australian Centre for Photography will end “when we have eradicated obstacles to education in developing nations. Or when the ACP needs to open for business the next day.” All righty, then.
Tom Hayton and Alessan
dro Bernardi in Barcelona seem to think they’ve got one of the hottest live music lineups. They do, they do!!
- Ninette and the Goldfish
- Juan Delgado Quintet
- Fania de Grecia
- The Platanotes
- MandMs DJs
- DJ Alex Ruiz
Another great band who’s part of the global Twestival excitement is Man Get Out who will be at the event in Liverpool. Pauline Cox was overwhelmed by their offer to perform free. Even the venue, Pan-Am, gave them the space for free!
Some people have been working on their event for weeks, even months. And then there’s San Luis Obispo. Seven days seemed like more than enough time to put together a terrific event at Spikes downtown. And so they have. Go on, now, stop in and say hello.
Speaking of hard work, check out the Oxford Twestival. Not one, not two, but three events in one day, all raising money for Concern Worldwide. Sylwia Presley guarantees something for everyone – a morning coffee at the Jam Factory, an afternoon social media panel at The Phone Room, and a good old-fashioned par-tay at the Living Room in the Oxford Castle that night. Sweeeet!
You’ve noticed it, haven’t you. You’ve read this whole list and you’ve noticed a tragic lack of bowling. Don’t give up! The Wilmington Twestival will feature a Wii Bowling Tournament for all you sports fans, and a t-shirt to wear proudly all year long. Don’t disappoint Ty Downing and his hard working crew. Go!
So many parties! Check out this list and this one. More to come!!
