Community Unites To Support Haiti Drive with Meathead Movers

Meathead Movers is a professional moving service based in San Luis Obispo, started by two Cal Poly Graduates whose business is highly valued in our little town for more reasons than one.  Now trust me, these are not your ordinary Meatheads.  When tragedy strikes, they know how to put their assets (ahem, ahem, see photo!) to work in providing direct assistance to those in need.

When our friends at iiiDesign told us about the Haiti Care Package Drive the Meathead Movers were putting on, we knew we had support it.  So we made our way on down with supplies and our handy flipcam!  For the past week, they’ve been asking the community to donate “care kits” full of toiletries and essentials, and are sending the supplies to Kansas City for Heart to Heart International, who will send them on to Haitian earthquake victims.

I made a fun little video recap. Check it!

To all of the SLO-cals,  it’s not too late to get involved!  You can still bring in your supplies until this Sunday, January 24th, so spread the word. And make sure to tell us how it went! For more information on where to go and what to bring, click here.

For everyone else, what are you doing in your community to support earthquake relief?  We’d love to hear your stories and ideas.  Tell us all about it!!
